Constructive Or Destructive Criticism

The following was an email sent to those on my emailing list in July of 2012:

Dear Friends,

Have a good and fruitful summer as we wait to loose our religious freedoms precisely in the "Land of the Free"!

When people ask me what we can do, I often respond very simply: "Obey your Mother"! Our heavenly Mother at Fatima, who knows much better than us what is best for us and for the world, told us almost one hundred years ago: "Pray very much, especially the Holy Rosary, and make many sacrifices!" When so few pray, the forces of evil have tremendous power, above all to brainwash us and to lead us gently, without waking us up spiritually, toward the infernal and eternal abyss (Diary of Saint Faustina, 153, 741).

To explain simply, as well as to avoid the typical elusive argumentation which covers up the true motive of so many who are fleeing from God (even though they believe they will go to heaven if they still believe that such a place exists), I tell people that if they want to make it to heaven, they must seek the Truth (big “T”) in a difficult and confusing world, especially listening the Vicar of Christ on earth, the Pope; then live this Truth with God's help, so that they can spend eternity with the Truth, who is God. Most people today do not even take the first step of seeking the Truth which is inconvenient because it bothers our almost dead consciences indicating to us that we must change our lives and suffer. Most people choose the easy way of convincing themselves that there is no eternity after death and thus they freely choose to lower themselves even below the level of animals with a mortal soul, thus thinking that they have no responsibility for their great God-given dignity and great responsibility. When they die, after fleeing the Truth all of their lives, God, out of true love, will respect and confirm their choice, and they will go to the place where there is no Truth, no God for all eternity! The Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC 1035) as well as the saints clearly tell us that the greatest pain in hell, more than all other pains put together, is the total and absolute and eternal separation of the creature from its Creator, Who is the TRUTH!

I am amazed at how many priests that I know, when I begin explaining in an understandable way how we have fallen very deeply into relativism, in particular by accommodating the people by dismissing Humanae Vitae or cohabitation as well as ignoring the directives of the Popes to maintain great reverence and humility before the Most Blessed Sacrament (e.g., Memoriale Domini, etc.), immediately react negatively or in an argumentative way or even worse with apathy. How few are seeking the Truth by asking questions about where I found this information from the documents of the Church or from the writings of the Popes. Few priests I know want to go forward everyday in seeking the Truth together, in open and sincere dialogue, with the willingness to change our lives in accordance with the great treasure of each piece of Truth that God offers to each of us, often by way of other well-intentioned people. I understand more and more why Pope John Paul II, when asked to offer one verse from the Bible for the People of God, replied without hesitation: “The Truth will make you free!” (Jn 8:32). Most people today trust themselves rather than trusting the One Who created them and loves them more than they love themselves, and thus God's hands are tied due to His respect for our free will. So many do not meditate regularly on the Passion of Christ to slowly penetrate and discover the true nature of love as well as to embrace the only path to heaven: Calvary, the passion of Christ in our own personal lives! No pain no gain; no cross no crown. So many Christians listen to the world, guided by Satan, which says, at least to Christians, God is love and merciful, which is true, but does not tell them that if one does not seek to live the 10 Commandments all their lives with God's help according to God's revealed interpretation of the 10 Commandments, God will respect their choice for all eternity! Satan tells Christians not to worry because God pardons, but he does not tell us that we must ask for pardon sincerely and humbly (as well as pardoning others as we say in the “Our Father”) as expressed in the “Act of Contrition” prayer, in order to be able to receive pardon! Let us pray for the very numerous so-called “Christians” who have swallowed the convenient lies of Satan and believe they can arrive to Easter without passing through Good Friday, that they can arrive to the Resurrection without passing through the crucifixion with our loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

The follow was a response (July 4, 2012), sent by a person on my emailing list, to the above email:

Father,

Everything you write is orthodox; however, recently the Pope praised the heretic, Martin Luther, as always being Cristo centric in everything he did.  He did so when speaking to the German Lutheran leaders.  Now either all of the books written by very holy priests, lay persons, and even Protestants that I have read are lies, or the Pope was wrong in saying what he did.  I believe that we have to be discerning in what we accept that comes from the mouth of the Pope.  Pope John Paul allowed a Hindi Priestess to bless him, and he kissed the Koran.  He also praised Nelson Mandella who was responsible for the butchering of many in South Africa!  I believe those actions were scandalous and stretched ecumenism way out of bounds.  These things deeply trouble my soul.

I would appreciate your reply to my comments.

God bless, yours in Their Hearts,

The following was my response to the above email sent to me on July 4, 2012:

Dear...,

Thank you for your email.

May I first say, as we well know, WE ARE TRULY LIVING IN DIFFICULT AND EXTRAORDINARY TIMES. It is not easy in any sense of the word. We are being pushed and tempted from all sides and in all directions and with the most sophisticated strategies and tactics ever deployed for the manipulation of our minds. This is due to the fact that very few people are praying today and trying to do God’s will with God’s help; thus the Godless secularists have taken control of the motors of the culture: the mass media, the schools and most religious institutions. But when we look at the history of the Body of Christ, the Church, in the last 2000 years, there were not too many periods of relative calm. Look how many people abandoned Jesus Christ during His lifetime and especially at the end of His life, during His passion. I believe that the Body of Christ is now passing through the passion, and very soon will enter into the crucifixion when the great majority of so-called “Christians” will flee and readily deny Christ. Even the true and loyal Christians will cry out like their Savior 2000 years ago on the cross: “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me!” It will seem that the forces of evil have totally won and it will seem like the “dark night” of the soul for the whole Church! As Christ suffered three hours on the cross, I believe that this dark night of the Church, this crucifixion of the Body of Christ, will last about three years, and perhaps will begin when the prophecy of Hildegard regarding the false pope is fulfilled.

It is interesting that HILDEGARD of BINGEN (d. 1179) wrote that when the new Pope is elected immediately before the Antichrist, a cardinal will kill the elected pope before he is crowned through jealousy, he wishing to be Pope himself. Then when the other cardinals elect the next Pope this cardinal will proclaim himself (anti) Pope, and two-thirds of the Christians will go with him. She notes that this Antipope as well as the Antichrist are descended from the tribe of Dan. If this private revelation of Hildegard turns out to be true, is it possible that this Antipope, who will appear “IMMEDIATELY BEFORE THE ANTICHRIST”, might be the FALSE PROPHET predicted in the book of Revelation (Rev 16:13; 20:10; chap. 13 etc.) who will work hand in hand with the first "beast", the Antichrist, to subdue the world, leading as many as possible to deny Jesus Christ and to adore the Antichrist?

It seems that POPE BENEDICT IS ENCOURAGING US TO READ THE WRITINGS AND PROPHECIES OF THIS HOLY WOMAN AND MYSTIC by canonizing her and proclaiming her a doctor of the Church this year.

December 16, 2011. (Romereports.com) Benedict XVI is set to appoint Hildegard of Bingen as a Doctor of the Church in October of 2012. She was a German Benedictine nun and was known for her visions and prophecies. (http://www.romereports.com/palio/pope-to-canonize-and-name-hildegard-of-bingen-as-doctor-of-the-church-english-5666.html).

But we cannot abandon the ship if we want to save our immortal souls! Remember THE DREAM OF ST. JOHN BOSCO, with a ship (the Church) in the middle of a great storm, with the Pope at the helm, being attacked by many small ships from all sides, being guided between the two pillars with the Eucharist and Mary at the top of the two pillars. (http://thereedofgod.blogspot.com/2010/04/don-boscos-prophecy-of-two-columns.html).

THERE IS ALWAYS THE TEMPTATION TO PUT OURSELVES ABOVE OUR LAWFUL SUPERIORS or to put ourselves in the place of superiors, especially in these times when so many bishops and priests have betrayed us and led so many astray.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS DISTINGUISH BETWEEN THE OBJECTIVE AND THE SUBJECTIVE. It is necessary to judge objectively the bad actions of other people in order not to do the same and to warn the persons that we are responsible for whether we be parents, priest or bishops. But subjectively we do not know the intentions, motives, thoughts, personal history or the graces that the other people have received; only God knows this. Saint Thomas Aquinas wrote: “Rarely affirm, seldom deny, always distinguish.” If a priest or bishop does not obey the Church and the Pope, let us hope that they are invincibly ignorant, even though they may cause considerable damage to immortal souls! Saint Ignatius of Antioch tells us THAT NOT ONLY THOSE WHO GIVE SCANDAL WILL GO TO HELL BUT ALSO THOSE WHO FOLLOW THEM. “Even in the world, defilement of this kind is punishable with death; how much more when a man’s subversive doctrines defile the God-given faith for which Jesus Christ was crucified. Such a wretch in his uncleanness is bound for the unquenchable fire, and so is anyone else who gives him a hearing” (Breviary; 2 OT, Monday).

I once told my parishioners that if sometime in the future I begin to loose the faith and to preach in opposition to what the Pope teaches on faith and morals, “DO NOT FOLLOW ME TO HELL”! “But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we preached to you, let him be accursed” (Gal 1:8). We must pray very much for the first targets of Satan, those who received more responsibility in this “dour combat” (CCC 409), as Our Lady asks us often: PRAY FOR THE POPE, BISHOPS AND THE PRIESTS! Just as a mother cannot substitute for the role or the vocation of the father and vise versa, so too the lay people cannot substitute for the priests and the bishops but can pray and offer sacrifices for them as Our Lady asks frequently!

I HOLD ON TO THE PROMISE OF CHRIST IN MATTHEW confirmed by the Church: “You are Peter and upon this rock I will build my Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail” (Mt 16:18).

FIVE HUNDRED YEARS AGO THERE WERE MANY SINNERS IN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH which caused the Protestant Reformation; today there are many sinners in the Church which cause many to leave the Church. A good husband does not abandon his wife when she becomes old and not pretty. If Satan cannot get you on the extreme side of the liberals, he will try to get you on the other extreme which is even worse. As said above, one can jump out of the Divine Ship, the Church, either on the left side with the liberals or on the right side with the schismatic traditionalists. My father used to say to Protestants: “I’d rather have an ugly box with a diamond inside than a beautiful box that is empty inside.” He was referring to the fact that the Catholic Church has all seven sacraments. Schismatic traditionalists try to find a group that is “as holy” as they are!?! It is Jesus, the Son of God, Who decided to found His Church on 12 sinners instead of 12 perfect angels from heaven! Who is more intelligent and full of wisdom, God or us? Many follow the mass media today in criticizing the Church and the priests and the bishops. I asked one of these puppets of the propaganda of the mass media who continually criticizes Catholic clergy instead of praying for them: “Would it have been better if Jesus Christ had founded the Church on 12 perfect men as yourself, Sir?

My father also said to protestant friends that they believe that Jesus Christ, as the Son of God, was unable to found a Church that would last until the end of time and thus God needed Martin Luther, King Henry VIII, etc. Schismatic traditionalists are doing the exact same thing! JESUS KNEW FULL WELL THAT THERE WOULD BE THOUSANDS AND MILLIONS OF OPINIONS ABOUT THE TRUTH and about the road to salvation and about the interpretation of Sacred Scripture even among sincere Christians; that is why He left us the Rock (Mt 16:18) for those who would have the humility to accept and follow the teachings of the Church with the Pope as the head.

Even though my father, with his Jesuit training, argued with his protestant acquaintances and he himself never left the Church as my sister did, he did not seek to follow Jesus meek and humble of heart and thus slowly put himself above all authority on earth. ONE TIME WHEN MY FATHER WAS STRONGLY CRITICIZING POPE JOHN PAUL II because he did not do as my father thought he should do, I commented to him, when he provoked my response, that I do not presume to believe that I know more than the Pope who sees the whole world and Church situation better than me and that he is specially guided by the Holy Spirit as Jesus promised. Needless to say my father was not very happy with my response! Unfortunately my father did not lead his family toward trust in Holy Mother Church and thus my sister as well as my mother, after the death of my father, left the Church.

I am not a theologian and I have not read or studied most of the writings of Martin Luther, but I am fully confident in what Pope Benedict said is true and I AM ALSO FULLY CONFIDENT THAT HE SAID WHAT WAS NEEDED TO BE SAID AND NO MORE ACCORDING TO THE VIRTUE OF PRUDENCE which must govern all the other virtues. The Pope wants to lead as many protestants as possible toward the fullness of the truth and sanctification while minimizing words that would cause people to go away from the truth, unless prudently necessary. He offered positive affirmations but in the circumstances of a particular meeting it is usually more prudent to not go down a list of all of the disagreements until there is the possibility to spend time together giving first a true Christian example of virtue so as to first and foremost lead by example those of good will. Then slowly one can begin to approach the differences if there is the openness and good will to go forward waiting patiently for the questions to be asked. This method is also the prudent way to go in human relations even in families or among friends. If someone goes around only criticizing and hammering the truth without this preparation of a good virtuous example, who will listen to such a person? Where is the example to follow? Certainly the documents of the Church must offer the fullness of the truth, but even here a non Catholic is free to read these documents or not; the same is true for articles on the Web open to the general reading audience. The Pope’s main goal is to lead souls to Christ: sometimes this means to affirm the positive, and sometimes it means to point out the negative and the points of disagreement, depending on who he is talking to as well as others who will be able to listen to or read what he says.

Archbishop Fulton Sheen once said: “There are not over a hundred people … who hate the Roman Catholic Church. There are millions, however, who HATE WHAT THEY WRONGLY BELIEVE TO BE THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.”

ECUMENICAL DIALOGUE IS JUST THAT, A DIALOGUE, the building of a relationship so as to share and seek the truth together. If one feels he has a monopoly on all truth or an attitude that he knows more than the others as is often found in the sects, then we are dealing not with a dialogue but with a monologue. Ecumenical Monologue! Certainly the Church has the “fullness of the truth”, but the truth must be offered with prudence, patience and love while waiting with patience for others to correspond with God’s graces and move toward the truth. The person offering the truth must realize that he too is a sinner and must continue to seek and live the truth until he dies.

MANY PEOPLE DO NOT WANT TO DIALOGUE WITH THOSE WHO DO NOT AGREE WITH THEM. They do not want to take the risk of discovering something that might not be how they want things to be and it might put their self-formed consciences in crisis and might challenge them to possibly suffer and to change their lives.

THERE IS OFTEN THE LACK OF DISTINGUISHING BETWEEN THE SIN AND THE SINNER. The Church loves the sinner but hates the sin. Many accuse the Church of hating the homosexuals because many do not make the distinction that the Church, as does Christ, loves the person with homosexual tendencies but hates the act of homosexuality. The Pharisees and Scribes were scandalized because Christ sought to help the publicans, tax collectors and prostitutes; but Christ did say to the prostitute “go and sin no more.” (Jn 8:11). So too many schismatic traditionalists are scandalized because the Second Vatican Council teaches the importance of an honest desire to acknowledge and appreciate the true and the good in other non-Catholic Christians both as individuals and as collective bodies, “particular Churches”
“The sole Church of Christ” … “constituted and organized as a society in the present world, SUBSISTS IN the Catholic Church, which is governed by the successor of Peter and by the bishops in communion with him. Nevertheless, many elements of sanctification and of truth are found outside its visible confines. Since these are gifts belonging to the Church of Christ, they are forces impelling towards Catholic unity” (LG 8) (see also UR 3).

MANY SCHISMATIC TRADITIONALISTS SAY: “WELL WHAT’S THE USE OF BECOMING A CATHOLIC IF THE OTHER “CHURCHES” ARE RECOGNIZED CHURCHES?” In the Catholic Church one can truly point to one place to find the fullness of truth of Divine Revelation and saving "elements of sanctification" (LG 8) by which the faithful may be configured to Christ. It took several centuries even for the Catholic Church to overcome an anti-protestant self identification after the Council of Trent. With the Second Vatican Council the Catholic Church made great strides in overcoming this immature negative self identification. True ecumenism also includes the desire and honesty to acknowledge and appreciate the true and the good in other churches and groups, instead of only concentrating on our differences, as many members of the Church tended to do in the past. VCII was a call to the Church to rediscover her calling to serve as the humble servant of Christ to help all those “of the truth” (Jn 18:37) to make it to heaven; many traditionalists still need this negative, anti-protestant and anti-sinner mentality in order to self-identify themselves. The Church, while still asserting that "the one and only Church of Christ is the Roman Catholic Church”, added the significant admission that "MANY ELEMENTS OF SANCTIFICATION CAN BE FOUND OUTSIDE THE CHURCH’S TOTAL STRUCTURE," and that these are "things properly belonging to the Church of Christ” (LG 8). Often many people need a common enemy (“heretics” or sinners) to be motivated and unified or to maintain their enthusiasm, or to be reinforced in their own (insecure?!) self identification. The lack of enemies tends to disrupt the homeostasis of the group. Sometimes people form a type of comparative self religion in which they feel more holy if they compare themselves with others that they condemn or at least judge as less holy than themselves. Almost invariably the schismatic traditionalists tend to criticize all those not in their group so that they feel holy and better than the others, instead of comparing themselves only with Jesus Christ. It is so easy and such a strong human temptation and tendency to seek to observe and dwell on the faults and abuses of a lawful superior. After dwelling on these so-called faults and abuses of bishops and priests over a period of time along with listening to and hearing support from our agreeable peers and (busy-body?) 'friends', is it any wonder that when we receive a hard and disagreeable command from this superior that we are able to easily disregard and subjectively justify disobedience to such a command? It is interesting that just about all the schismatic traditionalists do not like the fact that the Church now loves and prays with sinners and non-Catholics. Was this not the same reaction of the Pharisees and Scribes when Jesus loved and ate with sinners and non-Jews? Christ said to Pilate: “Every one who is of the truth hears my voice” (Jn 18:37). People “of the truth” are not found only in the Catholic Church! WE SHOULD REJOICE IN THE GOOD OF OTHERS EVEN IF THEY ARE NOT MEMBERS OF “OUR CHURCH” OR GROUP (c.f., VCII: UR 4). I think one can draw more people to the truth using honey (love) rather than vinegar (judgment and condemnation). Judgment and a critical and negative attitude toward others springs out of an inflated opinion of oneself in most instances.

EVEN THE APOSTLES OF JESUS AT THE BEGINNING OF THEIR WALK WITH THE LORD WERE RATHER IMMATURE! "Master, we saw a man casting out demons in your name, and we forbade him, because he does not follow with us." But Jesus said to him, "Do not forbid him; for he that is not against you is for you." (Lk 9:49-50). James and John said, "Lord, do you want us to bid fire come down from heaven and consume them?" But he turned and rebuked them. (Lk 9:54-55). (Visit also: http://schis-trad.blogspot.com).

"Truth without humility or charity is an idol."

I do not presume at all to know all the facts or the whole situation regarding Nelson Mandella. But again I am fully confident that Pope Benedict said what was needed to be said in the most prudent manner with the given circumstances.

It is difficult also for me to put into practice what I wrote here. I hope and pray that somehow I might be able to help someone in their endeavor to seek and live the Truth. “The truth shall set you free” (Jn 8:32)!

If we do not say anything positive to others until they arrive to “our level” of truth or sanctity that we “humbly” feel we have, who will we end up leading to Christ that we believe we are following?!?

WHAT IS OUR REAL GOAL HERE, to vent our irritation about the problems in the Church or to humbly beg our Lord on our knees each day before the Blessed Sacrament to ask His guidance to use us as His instruments to lead souls in the most effective and prudent way to His feet even if we will suffer much and even be humiliated? Do we only have one type of weapon in our personal arsenal to wage battle against the forces of evil? Satan and his followers today are more astute than ever before in the history of the world to use a great variety of weapons, adapted to each group or individual, so as to lead a great number of people away from God in the most gentle and alluring and hidden ways ever devised so as to try to not wake these souls up until it is too late.

Sometimes, depending on the given circumstance, there is not the possibility to lead those of good will toward the truth by our example of understanding and kindness, waiting patiently for them to ask the questions on their journey toward the fullness of the truth. THUS WHEN PRUDENTLY NEEDED, IN PARTICULAR TO THOSE UNDER OUR CARE, FRATERNAL CORRECTION SHOULD BE GIVEN IN A VIRTUOUS AND PRUDENT MANNER, EVEN IF THERE IS A GOOD POSSIBILITY OF A NEGATIVE REACTION.

King David was of good will and thus when the prophet Nathan (2 Sam 12:1-13) pointed out the truth to David about his sin, THE REACTION OF KING DAVID WAS CONVERSION INSTEAD OF REJECTION. Many people do not do as King David did after receiving “fraternal correction”. Also, unfortunately today there are many religious leaders who do not offer fraternal correction to those under their charge as the prophet Nathan did.

IT IS TRUE THAT MANY PEOPLE TODAY HAVE MISGUIDED COMPASSION AND DO NOT WANT TO HURT THE FEELINGS OF OTHERS. The Lord said to the prophet Ezekiel: “If I say to the wicked, O wicked man, you shall surely die, and you do not speak to warn the wicked to turn from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand. But if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way; he shall die in his iniquity, but you will have saved your life” (Ezek 33:8-9). Referring to the objective truth St. James wrote: "Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one converts him, let him know, that he who converts the sinner from the error of his ways shall save his soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins." (Jms 5:19-20; see also: Mt 18:15-17). Referring to the subjective truth or guilt St. James wrote: “Who are you that you judge your neighbor?” (Jms 4:12; Mt 7:1-2).

MANY BISHOPS AND PRIESTS DO NOT DO AS SAINT PETER ON THE DAY OF PENTECOST who came out of the Cenacle and said with great courage to the “rulers of the people and elders” (Acts 4:8), “You have crucified Jesus” (Acts 4:10), “the author of life” (Acts 3:15) by your mortal sins and then to explain the mortal sins most common today such as contraception, abortion, euthanasia, homosexual acts, indifference toward Jesus in the Eucharist, indifference toward those in need.

POPE BENEDICT XVI SAID IN ST. PETER'S SQUARE, FRASCATI; 15 July 2012:
The First Reading presents us with the same perspective, showing us that all too often God’s messengers are not well received. This is the case of the Prophet Amos whom God sent to prophesy in the Sanctuary at Bethel, a sanctuary of the Kingdom of Israel (cf. Amos 7:12-15). Amos preached very energetically against injustices, denouncing in particular the abuses of kings and notables, abuses of power that offend the Lord and nullify acts of worship. Amaziah, the priest of Bethel, therefore ordered Amos to leave. Amos answered that it was not he who chose this mission but that the Lord had made him a prophet and sent him to this very place in the Kingdom of Israel. Therefore, whether he was accepted or rejected, he would continue to prophesy, preaching whatever God told him and not what men wished to hear. AND THIS HAS CONTINUED TO BE THE CHURCH’S MANDATE: SHE DOES NOT PREACH WHAT THE POWERFUL WISH TO HEAR. HER CRITERION IS TRUTH AND JUSTICE EVEN IF IT IS UNPOPULAR AND AGAINST HUMAN POWER.” (http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/benedict_xvi/homilies/2012/documents/hf_ben-xvi_hom_20120715_frascati_en.html).

POPE JOHN PAUL II (AMONG MANY OTHER OCCASIONS) SPOKE FIRMLY TO THE US BISHOPS AGAINST THIS "PICK AND CHOOSE SMORGASBORD TYPE CATHOLICISM" in LA in his September 1987 visit: "It is sometimes reported that a large number of Catholics today do not adhere to the teaching of the Church on a number of questions, notably sexual and conjugal morality, divorce and remarriage. Some are reported as not accepting the Church's clear position on abortion. It has also been noted that there is a tendency on the part of some Catholics to be selective in their adherence to the Church's moral teachings. It is sometimes claimed that dissent from the Magisterium is totally compatible with being a “good Catholic” and poses no obstacle to the reception of the sacraments. This is a grave error that challenges the teaching office of the bishops of the United States and elsewhere. I wish to encourage you in the love of Christ to address this situation courageously in your pastoral ministry, relying on the power of God's truth to attract assent and on the grace of the Holy Spirit which is given both to those who proclaim the message and to those to whom it is addressed" (http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/john_paul_ii/speeches/1987/september/documents/hf_jp-ii_spe_19870916_vescovi-stati-uniti_en.html).

THESE ARE WORDS THAT MOST CATHOLICS DO NOT WANT TO HEAR! The Vicar of Christ is saying that dissent from the Magisterium (not just the 10 Commandments or a doctrine defined “ex cathedra”) is totally incompatible “with being a “good Catholic” and poses an obstacle to the reception of the sacraments”! That means, grave, mortal sin!

BLESSED JOHN HENRY NEWMAN, in his “Discourses To Mixed Congregations” (the Anglicans and the Catholics), said that one must not come to the Catholic Church unless one intends to accept all of her teachings on faith and morals. “And so again, when a man has become a Catholic, were he to set about following a doubt which has occurred to him, he has already disbelieved. I have not to warn him against losing his faith, he is not merely in danger of losing it, he has lost it; from the nature of the case he has already lost it; he fell from grace at the moment when he deliberately entertained and pursued his doubt” (http://www.newmanreader.org/works/discourses/discourse11.html).

But if a great number of lay people, priests and bishops ignore or disobey the teachings of the Magisterium of the Church, WHAT CAN THE POPE DO? Should we get out our pistols and rifles and shoot all those who we believe to be heretics like cowboy vigilantes? Many saints lived in very difficult times; how did they contribute to the building up of Christ’s Spouse, the Church? How did St. Jeanne Jugan contribute to the solution in the very difficult period of the French Revolution in France when all authority was thrown out and there was secularistic mob rule?

THE CHURCH ON EARTH, THE “CHURCH MILITANT”, IS MADE UP OF SAINTS AND SINNERS AND EVERYTHING ELSE IN BETWEEN (Mt 13: 36-40, 47-50). In the early Church the heretical cult, the Donatists, explained these two parables of the fish and of the weeds in a rather simplistic way: the Church was made up of only the good people and the world was made up of all the evil people without hope of salvation. The Church would be in the world as a “closed garden” or better, the Ark of Noah in which only for the very few there is salvation from the general flood. St. Augustine’s thought won out which was that of the universal Church. The Church herself is a field in which grow weeds and good seed, bad and good together . St. Augustine even exclaimed: “How many sheep there are outside the Church and how many wolves are inside!” The world is not divided into children of darkness and children of light; but rather we are all children of darkness, we are all weeds, but destined, if we desire it, to become children of the light and good grain, receiving the Kingdom and converting ourselves. Nothing is fixed or fatal, no castes of the elect or of the damned. The field is, yes, the world, but it is also the Church: the place in which there is room to grow, to convert oneself and above all to imitate the patience of God. “The bad exist in this world either so that they might convert themselves, or that by way of them the good exercise patience” (St. Augustine).

BUT WHAT IS THE PRUDENT WAY TO HELP PRIESTS AND BISHOPS live their calling to be prophets to their people in these very difficult times today? What did Saint Monica do that resulted in the conversion of her son Augustine? How should a son handle the situation when he is convinced that his father is in serious error? How should the son exercise the virtues of prudence, respect, humility and charity, so that there might be the possibility of good fruits with his other brothers and sisters? How should lay men and women seek to help priests and bishops who do not obey the teachings of the Magisterium of the Church with the Pope as the head?

Also how should lay men and women help other people to not be led astray by bishops and priests who do not obey the Vicar of Christ to the great detriment and damage to souls? Again much prayer, discernment, humility and prudence is needed because if we attack and undermine all authority as did the mob during the French revolution, what is left, what will be the fruits?

Upon his farewell address to the nation, GEORGE WASHINGTON tried to impress upon his fellow countrymen that it was “Religion and Morality” that served as the foundation for our young nation. Without the foundation of Religion and Morality that George Washington and the other founding fathers provided for us, there is simply no real hope for the future of this country.

Pope John Paul II wrote: “Prayer joined to sacrifice constitutes the most powerful force in human history.” This coincides exactly with what Our Lady of Fatima asked us to do: “Prayer and sacrifice”, in particular, the Holy Rosary.

SAINT JOHN VIANNEY said that a priest should be ready to pray and sacrifice for every person who comes to confession to him. Our Lady of Fatima said the same thing: pray and offer sacrifices for the conversion of sinners. IF WE DO NOT PRAY AND OFFER SACRIFICES AS OUR FIRST AND PRIMARY CONTRIBUTION FOR OTHERS, rather than criticism as crusaders for the “truth”, are our intentions truly based on love as an instrument of God in humility? Without humility we are not God’s instruments and God does not work in us and there will be no lasting fruits in the end, even though we have convinced ourselves and others that we are working in the name and for the glory of God! God works through the humble, not the self-righteous!

SAINT JOHN BOSCO wrote: “It is so much easier to get angry than to be patient, to threaten a boy rather than persuade him. I would even say that usually it is so much more convenient for our own impatience and pride to punish them than to correct them patiently with firmness and gentleness” (Breviary, January 31).

SAINT ANGELA MERICI wrote to her religious sister in regard to poor girls in their institute: “I ask you, please, do try to bring them up with love, with a gentle and kindly hand, not overbearingly nor harshly. Try to be kind always. Notice what Jesus Christ says, “Learn of me for I am gentle and humble of heart” (Mt 11:29). … I do not mean, however, that at times one must not make use of some restraint, even of severity in some cases, depending on the importance of the circumstance and the need of the individuals. But even then, we must be moved solely by charity and zeal for souls” (Breviary, January 27).

When talking about a mother-in-law who was no longer allowed to come and visit her grandchildren because she said a prayer before a meal, PSYCHOLOGISTS DR. RAY GUARENDI said that you do not win arguments with someone who does not want to hear what you have to say. All you do is make them dig their heels in even tougher. The advise Dr. Ray gives to spouses in this situation, your only chance, is that the spouse has to see that because of your faith that you are easier to live with, more giving, more sacrificing and kinder. If you do not do that, he says that I do not care how often you tell your husband or children that you go to church, and I do not care when they see you coming back from confession, or praying your rosary, it has got to be in how you treat them. They got to see that this Catholic faith has changed you, however subtle, however subtle. But you cannot say, I am going to grab my husband by the throat: “You got to believe, you got to come to church with me now, let’s go.” Dr. Ray said that I can give you the best arguments in the world for the faith, and if you do not want to accept them, you will tune me out so fast. And you know what will tend to happen, if that’s the catholic church in front of me on the street and I am standing here and I do not want to go toward that church and you start pushing on me and arguing, and we fight, I back off. The hardest part is to change who we are, but it is probably the most successful way to change those closest to us.

As we have heard before, honey attracts more flies than vinegar! SAINT PAUL TELLS US: “For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a slave to all, that I might win the more. To the Jews I became as a Jew, in order to win Jews; to those under the law I became as one under the law--though not being myself under the law--that I might win those under the law. To those outside the law I became as one outside the law--not being without law toward God but under the law of Christ--that I might win those outside the law. To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings” (1Cor 9:19-23).

The way of Christ, the way of the saints, is not easy. THERE WAS A SCANDALOUS PRIEST IN ASSISI AT THE TIME OF ST. FRANCIS who lived with a woman and gave scandal in other ways as well. One day when St. Francis encountered this priest, the people were waiting to see if Francis would scold him or rebuke him to at least alleviate the scandal. St. Francis knelt down before this sinful priest, kissed his hands and said that from these hands I receive the Body of Christ and the forgiveness of my sins. The people were amazed and the scandalous priest changed his life for the better.

I have been in the Church all my life and thus needless to say I have suffered the most from my spouse, the Church. I HAVE BEEN BETRAYED AND ABANDONED BY PRIESTS loosing my community or parish or friends; twice I suffered a difficult depression after such experiences. After one of these experiences, I was just about destroyed mentally, I went into depression and I also took medication. But what saved me was that I persevered in praying everyday before the Blessed Sacrament even though thoughts of anger and self justification and judgment continued to come into my head. But slowly I began to realize how much Christ suffered for me and that my debt to Jesus was “ten thousand talents” and that the priest who caused me to go into depression owed me only “a hundred denarii” (Mt 18:23-35). To read the rest of this experience, visit: “Let Us Love Our Spouse” (http://spir-food.blogspot.com/2008/05/let-us-love-our-spouse.html).

It is very interesting when we look closely at the history of the Church WHICH REFORMERS CONTRIBUTED TO THE BUILDING UP OF THE CHURCH AND WHICH REFORMERS CONTRIBUTED TO THE TEARING DOWN OF THE CHURCH. There have been many saints who spoke out strongly in regard to the abuses and errors of the clergy, such as Saint Catherine of Siena, Saint Anthony of Padua, and many others. What is the essential difference here between saintly reformers and non saintly reformers. Certainly one of the essential elements or constructive reformation is to work within the Church with prudence and humility, even though at times some of the saints spoke out very boldly like Saint John the Baptist did with the Pharisees and Scribes. Others so-called reformers rejected the visible head of the Church and left the Church while convincing themselves they were called by God to crusade against the abuses and errors that they saw in the Church. Only the Pope has the promise and guarantee to not error regarding faith and morals (Mt 16:18); the bishops and priests do not have this special guidance and protection from God, and thus it is imperative for bishops and priests to remain in union with the Pope!

As our Lady of Fatima and our Lady of Akita, Japan indicate, WE ARE LIVING IN EXTRAORDINARILY DIFFICULT TIMES. Our Lady told Sr. Agnes Sasagawa at Akita, Japan (October 13, 1973): "The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops” (http://www.ewtn.com/library/mary/akita.htm).

Even though the Church is being attacked from all sides, THE POPE CANNOT GIVE INTO BECOMING ONLY DEFENSIVE AND CONDEMNATORY. It is always a great challenge to persevere with prudence in loving the sinner but hating the sin so as to offer every possibility for the sinner, at his own pace, to return to the Truth Who is Christ. I say with “prudence” so as to not scandalize the weak if it is not necessary. It was necessary for Christ to love all and thus He scandalized many 2000 years ago. The visible head of the Church must do the same, when necessary and prudent, at the risk of scandalizing the weak and the ones who have learned very little from Jesus meek and humble of heart (Mt 11:29). One example of this was the praying together for peace at Assisi.

IF ONE YIELDS TO THE TEMPTATION OF PUTTING HIMSELF ABOVE THE POPE, this person has no other reference point on earth above himself for the source of the truth. He believes he has a direct link to the Holy Spirit and is above everyone on earth. This is why the thousands of independent protestant groups interpret many important passages of the Bible in different and contradictory ways, even though there is only one Bible and one God; they do not have the “Rock”! But if we do not submit to the authority that Jesus left us here on earth, we do not submit to God either, but rather to what we have created God to be in our own heads. Pride makes us blind. It is so easy to slowly slide in the direction of seeing only the sins of others and to become blind to our sins and lack of virtue. “Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? (Mt 7:3). So many times ones reads in the diary of Saint Faustina that she considered herself misery itself while she contemplated the infinite Truth Itself, God!

Regarding priests and religious, Sister Mary Gabriel in purgatory told Sister Mary of the Cross on December 8, 1879: “ALAS, HOW MANY LIVES SEEM TO BE FILLED WITH GOOD WORKS AND AT THE DEATH ARE FOUND EMPTY. This is because all those actions that appeared to be good, all those showy works, all that conduct that seemed irreproachable - all these were not done for Jesus alone. Some will have their eyes opened when they come here to this life (in Purgatory). On earth they wanted to be made much of, to shine, to be thought very exact in religious observances, to be esteemed as perfect religious. This is the mainspring of so many lives. If you only knew how few people work for God and act for Him alone. Alas, at death, when they are no longer blinded, what regrets they will have. If only sometimes they would think of eternity. What is life compared to that day which will have no evening for the elect, or to that night which will have no dawning for the damned? On earth, people attach themselves to everything and everyone except to Him, who alone ought to have our love and to whom we refuse it. Jesus in the Tabernacle waits for souls to love Him and He finds none. HARDLY ONE SOUL IN A THOUSAND LOVES HIM AS IT SHOULD. You love Him and make up to Him for this guilty indifference which exists all over this world.” (http://purgatory-manu.blogspot.com).

What ever our state in life, we can use what we have as well as our situation in life to serve ourselves or serve our Creator who gave us all that we have. As Sister Mary Gabriel in purgatory clearly indicates, a priest or religious, even though they seem holy to others, can use all they have received from God to serve their own egoism.

“Oh, what pain it causes my heart when I see a nun who has not the religious spirit! How can one be pleasing to God when one is inflated with pride and self-love under the pretense of striving for God’s glory, WHILE IN FACT ONE IS SEEKING ONE’S OWN GLORY? When I see such a thing, it gives me very great pain. How can such a soul be united closely with God? Union with the Lord is out of the question here” (Diary, 1139).
“On several occasions, I have learned how some religious defend their own glory under the pretext of being concerned for the glory of God, whereas it is not a question of the glory of God, but of glory of self. O Jesus, how painful this has been for me! What secrets the day of Your judgment will bring to light! How can one steal God’s gifts?” (Diary, 1149).
The Lord said to Saint Faustina: “I have wanted to exalt this Congregation many times, but I am unable to do so because of its pride. Know, My daughter, that I do not grant My graces to proud souls, and I even take away from them the graces I have granted” (Diary, 1170).

EVEN THIS EMAIL IS OF NO USE because it will always be judged by the one who feels he is full of wisdom and intelligence and thus this email will be rejected according to his infallible criteria and logic inside his own head. “I thank thee, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to babes” (Mt 11:25)!

The Protestants had the same conviction and attitude. We condemn the protestants but we feel we are better and not in the same category or in the same grave error!!!

Saint Teresa of Avila and so many other saints held up OBEDIENCE AND HUMILITY AS THE FIRST AND FOREMOST CRITERIA OF DISCERNMENt for private revelations and true sanctity. (http://priv-rev.blogspot.com/2008/04/ch-4-criteria-of-discernment.html).

One reads over and over again in the Diary of Saint Faustina that JESUS ALWAYS DIRECTED SAINT FAUSTINA TO ALWAYS BE TOTALLY OBEDIENT AND DOCILE BEFORE HER LAWFUL SUPERIORS, spiritual directors and confessors, even though Saint Faustina was more holy than they were. Because as the saints explain, God can change the heart of a superior if needed. If Saint Faustina or Saint Teresa of Avila never obeyed except when their superiors were totally in agreement with themselves, there is no virtue, there is no humility, there is no trust in God but only in self!

The Mother Directress told Saint Faustina: “As waters flow from the mountains down into the valleys, so, too, do God’s graces flow only into humble souls” (Diary, 55).

BUT GOD ASKS EVERYONE TO MAKE A LEAP OF FAITH IN ORDER TO ENTER HEAVEN; and many times at that. If you are not willing to make this leap of faith to trust the Vicar of Christ, what can I say? Nothing! This docility, faith and trust in God and his Church with the Pope as the head are more important than ever. If one does not arrive to a profound trust in God, with true humility, it will be impossible to confront and embrace martyrdom if we habitually rely on our own strength, wisdom and intelligence. I truly believe that before the centenary of the great miracle of Fatima, October 13, 2017, a great number of people will be force to choose between denying Christ to be able to receive the “mark of the beast”, in the form of a microchip, so as not to die of starvation, or refuse to deny Christ at the risk of great suffering and probable death.

I also found very interesting the last part of the homily of Pope Benedict XVI; Esplanade of the Shrine of Our Lady of Fátima; before 500,000 people: 13 May 2010:
“WE WOULD BE MISTAKEN TO THINK THAT FATIMA’S PROPHETIC MISSION IS COMPLETE. Here there takes on new life the plan of God which asks humanity from the beginning: “Where is your brother Abel […] Your brother’s blood is crying out to me from the ground!” (Gen 4:9). Mankind has succeeded in unleashing a cycle of death and terror, but failed in bringing it to an end… In sacred Scripture we often find that God seeks righteous men and women IN ORDER TO SAVE THE CITY OF MAN and he does the same here, in Fatima, when Our Lady asks: “Do you want to offer yourselves to God, to endure all the sufferings which he will send you, in an act of reparation for the sins by which he is offended and of supplication for the conversion of sinners?” (Memoirs of Sister Lúcia, I, 162).
At a time when the human family was ready to sacrifice all that was most sacred on the altar of the petty and selfish interests of nations, races, ideologies, groups and individuals, our Blessed Mother came from heaven, offering to implant in the hearts of all those who trust in her the Love of God burning in her own heart. At that time it was only to three children, yet the example of their lives spread and multiplied, especially as a result of the travels of the Pilgrim Virgin, in countless groups throughout the world dedicated to the cause of fraternal solidarity. MAY THE SEVEN YEARS WHICH SEPARATE US FROM THE CENTENARY OF THE APPARITIONS HASTEN THE FULFILMENT OF THE PROPHECY OF THE TRIUMPH OF THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY, TO THE GLORY OF THE MOST HOLY TRINITY.” (http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/benedict_xvi/homilies/2010/documents/hf_ben-xvi_hom_20100513_fatima_en.html; http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/fatimas-prophetic-mission-not-complete-pope-declares-on-solemnity/).

IF ONE PUTS HIMSELF ABOVE THE VICAR OF CHRIST, WHAT GOOD IS THIS EMAIL? We can only have an intellectual argument and nothing more! Faith is a gift, and a delicate one at that. Faith can easily be lost!

I HAD A SIMILAR SAD EXPERIENCE WITH MY SISTER AND HER HUSBAND who also drew my mother with them into their sedevacantist group after my father died five years ago. It is interesting also that if the group that they associate themselves with now does not say what they want to hear, such as to return to Rome, they find another sedevacantist group which agrees with themselves, just as the Protestants go church hoping. You can find my article about my attempts to help them at: http://schis-trad.blogspot.com.

CARDINAL IVAN DIAS AT LOURDES ANNOUNCES: WE ARE AT THE FINAL BATTLE BETWEEN THE CHURCH AND ANTICHURCH. He is the head of the powerful Congregation of the Propagation of the Faith, that promotes the evangelization of the world. This was in the last few days at Lourdes, during which time was celebrated the 150th anniversary of the apparition of the Virgin to Bernadette. He pronounced a surprising homily for its apocalyptic tones; one could deduce that the end of Time is not far off. We cite a few passages. “What meaning could the message of Our Lady of Lourdes have for us today? I love to situate these apparitions in the broader context of the permanent and fierce combat between the forces of good and evil, which will continue till the end of time”. Our Lady foresees “the rise of the Antichrist and his attempts to replace God in the life of men; attempts that despite their striking successes, will be nevertheless destined to failure”. The cardinal counsels to pray the Rosary, and to practice the conversion of heart, and to accept sufferings for the salvation of the world. Especially now, he explains, because “The combat between God and his enemy always blazes, even more today, because the world finds itself terribly swallowed up in the swamp of a secularism that wants to create a world without God; of a relativism that suffocates the permanent and immutable values of the Gospel; of a religious indifference which remains imperturbable before the superior good of the things which regard God and the Church”. And then he cites John Paul II: “We are before today the greatest fight that humanity has ever seen. I do not believe that the Christian community has totally understood this. We are today before the final confrontation between the Church and the anti-Church, between the Gospel and the anti-Gospel”. BUT IT IS THE WOMAN “OF GENESIS AND OF THE APOCALYPSE”, CONCLUDES THE CARDINAL, “THAT WILL COMBAT AT THE HEAD OF THE ARMY OF HER SONS AND DAUGHTERS AGAINST THE ENEMY FORCES OF SATAN AND WILL CRUSH THE HEAD OF THE SERPENT”. Do you share the sensation that there may be preannounced a final collision, and perhaps, the end of the times?” (December 13, 2007; http://www.lastampa.it/_web/CMSTP/tmplrubriche/giornalisti/grubrica.asp?ID_blog=196&ID_articolo=36&ID_sezione=396&sezione=San%20Pietro%20e%20dintorni)

SAINT LOUIS DE MONTFORT EXPLAINS IN GREATER DETAIL about “the army of her sons and daughters against the enemy forces of Satan and will crush the head of the serpent” in his book: True Devotion to Mary”.
51. It is chiefly in reference to these last wicked persecutions of the devil, daily increasing until the advent of the reign of anti-Christ, that we should UNDERSTAND THAT FIRST AND WELL-KNOWN PROPHECY and curse of God uttered against the serpent in the garden of paradise. It is opportune to explain it here for the glory of the Blessed Virgin, the salvation of her children and the confusion of the devil. "I will place enmities between you and the woman, between your race and her race; she will crush your head and you will lie in wait for her heel" (Gen. 3:15).”
52. GOD HAS ESTABLISHED ONLY ONE ENMITY–BUT IT IS AN IRRECONCILABLE ONE–WHICH WILL LAST AND EVEN GO ON INCREASING TO THE END OF TIME. That enmity is between Mary, his worthy Mother, and the devil, between the children and the servants of the Blessed Virgin and the children and followers of Lucifer. Thus the most fearful enemy that God has set up against the devil is Mary, his holy Mother. From the time of the earthly paradise, although she existed then only in his mind, he gave her such a hatred for his accursed enemy, such ingenuity in exposing the wickedness of the ancient serpent and such power to defeat, OVERTHROW AND CRUSH THIS PROUD REBEL, that Satan fears her not only more than angels and men but IN A CERTAIN SENSE MORE THAN GOD HIMSELF. This does not mean that the anger, hatred and power of God are not infinitely greater than the Blessed Virgin's, since her attributes are limited. It simply means that Satan, being so proud, suffers infinitely more in being vanquished and punished by a lowly and humble servant of God, for her humility humiliates him more than the power of God. Moreover, God has given Mary such great power over the evil spirits that, as they have often been forced unwillingly to admit through the lips of possessed persons, they fear one of her pleadings for a soul more than the prayers of all the saints, and one of her threats more than all their other torments.”
53. WHAT LUCIFER LOST BY PRIDE MARY WON BY HUMILITY. What Eve ruined and lost by disobedience Mary saved by obedience. By obeying the serpent, Eve ruined her children as well as herself and delivered them up to him. Mary by her perfect fidelity to God saved her children with herself and consecrated them to his divine majesty.”
54. GOD HAS ESTABLISHED NOT JUST ONE ENMITY BUT "ENMITIES", AND NOT ONLY BETWEEN MARY AND SATAN BUT BETWEEN HER RACE AND HIS RACE. That is, God has put enmities, antipathies and hatreds between the true children and servants of the Blessed Virgin and the children and slaves of the devil. They have no love and no sympathy for each other. The children of Belial, the slaves of Satan, the friends of the world, - for they are all one and the same - have always persecuted and will persecute more than ever in the future those who belong to the Blessed Virgin, just as Cain of old persecuted his brother Abel, and Esau his brother Jacob. These are the types of the wicked and of the just. But the humble Mary will always triumph over Satan, the proud one, and so great will be her victory that she will crush his head, the very seat of his pride. She will unmask his serpent's cunning and expose his wicked plots. She will scatter to the winds his devilish plans and to the end of time will keep her faithful servants safe from his cruel claws. … But Mary’s power over the evil spirits will especially shine forth in the latter times, when Satan will lie in wait for her heel, that is, FOR HER HUMBLE SERVANTS AND HER POOR CHILDREN whom she will rouse to fight against him. IN THE EYES OF THE WORLD THEY WILL BE LITTLE AND POOR AND, LIKE THE HEEL, LOWLY IN THE EYES OF ALL, DOWNTRODDEN AND CRUSHED AS IS THE HEEL BY THE OTHER PARTS OF THE BODY. But in compensation for this they will be rich in god's graces, which will be abundantly bestowed on them by Mary. They will be great and exalted before God in holiness. They will be superior to all creatures by their great zeal and so strongly will they be supported by divine assistance that, in union with Mary, they will crush the head of Satan with their heel, that is, THEIR HUMILITY, and bring victory to Jesus Christ.”

FATHER STEFANO GOBBI GIVES EVEN MORE INSIGHTS INTO THE TWO ARMIES BEING FORMED NOW (“her race and his race”) referred to by Cardinal Ivan Dias who is also a member of the Marian Movement of Priests. Visit: “Funeral Stefano Gobbi” (http://cibo-spir.blogspot.com/2011/07/funerale-stefano-gobbi.html).

I have much to do, so I cannot promise I will be able to respond very often. But please rest assured of my prayers and sacrifices. WE MUST ALWAYS WORK HARD TO SEEK THE TRUTH WITH HUMILITY. It is exceptionally easy today to deceive ourselves with Satan attacking from all sides and in all ways possible. As indicated by the dream of St. John Bosco as well as all of the saints, let us pass as much time as possible before the Most Blessed Sacrament with our weapon (as St. Padre Pio called it), the Rosary in hand. “Make frequent visits to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and the devil will be powerless against you.” - St. John Bosco.

I WILL ALWAYS STICK WITH THE VALIDLY ELECTED VICAR OF CHRIST. I am confident that when the prophecy of Hildegard will take place, especially having read this prophecy along with her canonization and soon to become a doctor of the Church, those of good will and with true humility and docility to the Holy Spirit will know when this happens and realize that the imposter is not validly elected by the college of cardinals. “For false Christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect” (Mt 24:24).

Rest assured of my prayer for you.

Father Joseph Dwight
